Bishops Nympton Local History Society
Founded in 2012 the History group includes a friendly cross section of people from Bishops Nympton and the surrounding area who share an active interest in local history
Our aim is to encourage enthusiasm in local history through a programme of events and outings, and to obtain, preserve and develop a record of the history of this area for future generations. We have a Filing cabinet in the community office where we archive records, photographs, maps and items of interest.
The Society has a programme of meetings involving speakers on a variety of topics. These are presently held quarterly in September, December, March and June on the second Monday of the month in the Parish Hall at 7.30pm. In June we usually have an outing to somewhere with an historic interest. Our AGM is held in September.
